This child craft can be made together with the child. An adult will need to make the holes in the cans but the child can help after that stage, decorate the cans and then of course walk on them.
Equipment:
* 2 empty cans
* String
* Paper and glue
* Stickers
Method:
1. Make 2 holes in each can at the top of the can and on either side.
2. Measure the distance from the child’s hands to his or her shoes with the string. Double the string and add about 10 cm for the knots. Cut the string. Cut another piece the same size.
3. Thread the string through the hole and tie a knot at the end of the string. Thread the other side through the can and then tie a knot at the other end.
4. Repeat the above step with the other piece of string and the other can.
5. Let the child decorate the cans with paper and stickers.
